NEVADA AMATEUR RADIO REPEATERS, INC.

NARRI's VoIP Internet Linked Repeater System

 Echo Link,  IRLP and All Star Asterisk is used by NARRI for linking repeaters. Special software and hardware allows licensed Amateur Radio stations to communicate with one another over the Internet, using voice-over-IP (VoIP) technology.  The software allows worldwide connections to be made between stations, or from computer to station, greatly enhancing Amateur Radio's communications capabilities. NARRI system repeaters and remotes are normally operated under the Club Call Sign of N7ARR or affiliate call signs.

NARRI radio and internet equipment is available to National, State and County emergency services organizations, Skywarn and  ARRL Nevada Section.

IRLP and Echo Link

 IRLP and Echo Link® See http://www.echolink.org  for more description of  Echo link and http://www.irlp.org  for IRLP information. See the locations of nodes and who is logged on to the Echo link System at http://www.echolink.org/logins.asp and http://status.irlp.net for IRLP node status.

NARRI REPEATERS and NODES

EchoIRLP

“Echoirlp” software has now been added to several of the NARRI IRLP Nodes.  This means NARRI IRLP nodes with Echoirlp software can call and received calls from either IRLP or Echo link, but not both at the same time.

Echoirlp allows the following combinations:

1) Echoirlp to IRLP node-to-node or node-to-reflector connections;

2) Echoirlp node to Echo link node or other Echoirlp; or Echo link Conference Servers.

At the time an Echoirlp node is being used for Echo link it is no longer available for IRLP. The same is true when Nodes are being used in the IRLP mode; an Echo link node cannot connect when IRLP is in use. Echoilrp does not allow any form of cross linking between Echo Link and the IRLP system. For example: Echo link stations can not connect to the IRLP Western Reflector, but can connect to Echo Conference Servers that are digitally linked to the Western Reflector  (See Dual VoIP Bridges below).

When using an IRLP node in the Echoirlp mode on the Echo link System it will show up with the assigned Echo link node number. When a connection is made to Echo link the node will show up on the IRLP Status Page (see http://status.irlp.net) as connected to the "E_L_Project" .  When operating on IRLP node-to-node or node-to-reflector the node will show up as an IRLP node on the IRLP Status Page as before. When IRLP Node 3641 is connected to IRLP, say 9250, it shows up on the Echolink system as "connected to IRLP 9250".

DUAL VoIP BRIDGES

NARRI Western Reflector Channels 7 through 9 (9257 – 9259) are dual servers, which means those IRLP Reflector channels are digitally linked to a unique Echo link Conference thus allowing nodes on Echo Conferences to talk to nodes on specific reflector channels.

The linking relationship is:
